Prema Smith is an Australian R&B artist. Born in Sri Lanka and adopted at the age of three by a Tasmanian family, Prema has spent the best part of his early childhood growing up in Tasmania on a little hobby farm. Growing up in the early 90's Prema was surrounded by a variety of hip hop, R&B and pop Culture. Prema aspires to bring  a new flavour of funk R&B to the Australian Charts. Prema is  working with some of the best in the game like Grammy winning song writer JackiesBoy (Carlos Battey) & Prince Chapel, Paul Sykes and Jason Dauman.

Prema is excited to release a new array of music to the Australian market. Prema’s music is designed around positive mindset a good food for thought. All to have a deeper connection with his audience. Prema believes mindfulness and being open to discussions about mental health are necessary, and he has worked directing numerous educational clips for the Black Dog Institute.

He is also the founder of Self Appreciation Day, where self love and self-appreciation are encouraged and celebrated. Prema views psychology as being strongly intertwined with music, as he expresses this through the wide emotional range that he brings to his songs.
