A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
Prema Smith is a highly-trained actor who radiates positivity and vibrancy. He is a hard-working multi-talented creative with over ten years of on screen acting experience. He is no stranger to performing as he has creatively created and crafted numerous characters to life for feature films, TV, and TVCs. His notable screen credits include Cop’s Enemy, which he also directed (Amazon Prime Video), The Other Guy (Stan), and The Pitch. During this time, Prema has also trained at The Actors Pulse, studying the Meisner technique. Prema strives to cultivate acting truthfully rather than just ‘acting.’ He currently receives private acting coaching with Anthony Brandon Wong. Private vocal training with Grammy winning Artist Prince Chapel and song writing with Grammy winning song writer JackiesBoy (Carlos Battey).
The Sri Lankan-born actor who grew up in Tasmania is always working on his next project. The ambitious talent not only expresses his creativity through acting but extends his passion for storytelling and communicating to additional avenues. He showcases his variety of talents and skills through countless mediums, including being a singer-songwriter with his debut album 386 The Beginning available on streaming platforms, directing and producing feature films and a TV series, presenting, speaking on multiple podcasts. He was also personally invited as a speaker by General Assembly to discuss "being enough.”
Prema believes mindfulness and being open to discussions about mental health are necessary, and he has worked directing numerous educational clips for the Black Dog Institute. He is also the founder of Self Appreciation Day, where self love and self-appreciation are encouraged and celebrated. Prema views psychology as being strongly intertwined with acting, as he expresses this through the wide emotional range that he brings to his roles.
Prema Smith is active in the Australian film and music industry. He is currently based in Sydney and is open for work Australia-wide and internationally.
Family is the core of Prema's tenacious drive. After being put into an orphanage in Sri Lanka, Prema Smith has always desired to be a dad and have a big family of his own.
This lucky man holds a full hand with a daughter, Alaia and twin boys Matteo and Theodore. For Prema, family means the world to him, from his immediate family of five to his world wide family.
He believes in education and unity with family being the core foundation to his successes.
